In one of the least-spectacular celebrity prankings ever witnessed, the poster above was placed in the Columbus, Ohio Hilton Hotel:
“In a guerilla art campaign that lifted its major points from Banksy (the stealth replacement of a Paris Hilton object), artist Vinchen plied his trade at the Columbus, Ohio Hilton Hotel. He replaced a wall-mounted house ad with a more revealing image of the hotel heiress, in a mock ad that read: “For over 80 years, the Hilton name has been synonymous with elegance and class. A tradition that continues today.”"
Why Vinchen would choose Columbus, I have no idea. Perhaps he only had 5 bucks for gas and had to choose between that and Cleveland. If you’re an aspiring display artist, and you have to resort to plying your trade in the middle of Ohio, chances are you’re working a night job somewhere. Probably at a convenience store. Or as a birthday party clown.
