Her Daddy Doesn’t Think She’s Fine: Amy Winehouse Heads To The US For Rehab
Singer Amy Winehouse and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, have finally admitted that they have serious drug problems, and have flown to the US to receive treatment.
Troubled jazz diva Amy Winehouse finally admitted she and her husband have serious drug problems after a showdown with their parents, it was reported today.
The singer, who collapsed last week after taking a cocktail of heroin, ecstasy, cocaine and the horse tranquilliser ketamine, is now in rehab in the US.
Now Amy, and husband Blake Fielder-Civil, who is reported to idolise Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty, have flown to the US for intensive counselling and detox treatment after seeing a leading Harley Street doctor recommended by Amy’s pal, former wild child Kelly Osbourne.
She decided to take action over her problems during crisis talks at a five-star hotel in Hampshire where she was recovering with her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil.
She was reported to have been caught smoking heroin in her suite by a friend, at which point her father Mitch flipped.
Taxi driver Mitch arrived the next day with his wife Janis, and Fielder-Civil’s stepfather Giles Civil and mother Georgette.
According to a source close to the family, the meeting descended into a row and at one point Mr Winehouse grabbed Mr Civil by the throat.
The source told a newspaper: “It broke Amy’s heart to see her parents and in-laws fighting.
The couple flew to the US on Saturday and are today in their third day of intensive counselling and detox treatment.
Her husband idolizes Pete Doherty? Seriously? Why not just call that tiger who mauled the guy from Siegfried and Roy your hero? At least the tiger did something positive for humanity. Or maybe idolize a giant pile of heroin. Eliminate the middleman altogether.
