In a move sure to up the viewership of The View in the key 14-17 male demographic, Rosie O’Donnell is being replaced for a two-week trial by Posh Spice, aka Victoria Beckham.

“Victoria Beckham is set to add talk show host to her list of ways to break America after reportedly agreeing to a two week trial presenting U.S. programme The View.

The 33-year-old singer, who moved to Los Angeles earlier this month, was picked by programme creator Barbara Walters to replace comedienne Rosie O’Donnell, who quit the ABC show in May .

A source tells British newspaper The Daily Star, “Victoria is hardly a bimbo and she has the added appeal of having already rubbed a lot of American women up the wrong way, so sparks are guaranteed to fly.

“There’s no doubt she’s going to add a lot of pizzazz to the show.”"

Victoria Beckham? On a talk show? Couldn’t they find a trained monkey or something? I’d rather watch that monkey smoke a cigar and throw his feces at Babwa than hear what Posh has to say about topical news. Whatever’s going on, it’s clear that it’s time to horde foodstuffs and start cleaning that bomb shelter you never had to use — the world is coming to an end - only this time, it’s MAJOR!
