LA Premiere of John Travolta’s Hairspray
The newest remake of Hairspray premiered in Los Angeles last night, and lots of famous and semi-famous people came to see and be seen.
John Travolta had been under fire from gay rights activists for playing a role made famous by Divine, a gay icon, when Scientology has historically been notoriously anti-gay. Travolta blew off the criticism, claiming that the role was in no way gay, and besides, Scientology loves everyone!
Look how manly John looks, with his jeans that shout “I, as a straight man, care not a whit for your fashion! And your red carpets! And please be sure to look at my very female wife, with whom I have lots of straight sex!”
