It hasn’t been a great week for Kate Moss. Not only did the supermodel have her Agent Provocateur contract yanked out from under her by an 18 year old upstart, but her druggie boyfriend, Pete Doherty, cheated on her with a South African model named Lindy.

A distraught Kate Moss has fled to Paris with her daughter Lila Grace as her relationship with Pete Doherty hits an all-time low.

The 33-year-old model is said to be “devastated” after it emerged her fiance cheated on her with a South African model called Lindy.

Kate was unable to contact Pete for days after a bust-up last week and on Thursday he picked up Lindy in Marylebone’s Crystal club and headed back to a friend’s house. Pete, 27, was seen kissing and cuddling the brunette.

Kate fled the country on Saturday with her four-year-old daughter and her nanny was flying out to meet them in Paris today.

A source said: “Kate is a mess. She’s trying to keep it together for Lila’s sake, but she’s been sobbing and wailing uncontrollably all weekend.”

For after she was rejected in favour of Kate Moss as the face of Agent Provocateur - prompting her to fume that the supermodel had ’stolen my thunder’ - I can reveal that gawky Daisy is being lined up as Miss Moss’s replacement at the lingerie brand.

With Kate about to be dropped by the underwear firm next month - amid whispers that at 33 she is looking tired and gaunt - I understand that 18-year-old Daisy has already completed a fashion shoot for the brand.

Daisy Lowe is Gavin Rossdale’s daughter, and her mother, Pearl Lowe, was also once an Agent Provocateur model. I’m not sure how those genes combine to make the girl on the right side of the header photo, but then I try to limit my genetic experiments to things that will work for the betterment of all mankind, like asparagus that tastes like marshmallows, and flying puppies.
